Wind damage caught early

Lilburn Roofing Company That Stops Wind Damage Before It Leaks

A strong Gwinnett thunderstorm can lift a row of shingles without tearing one off. We find those broken seals, photograph them and fix them while the decking underneath is still dry.

What We Do for Lilburn Roofs

Three jobs make up most of our week: new roofs, storm repairs and insurance claims. They are listed first. Inspections, materials and gutters follow. Repairs come last, for the times a repair really is enough.

Three Steps. No Mystery.

  1. Look

We climb up in daylight and go over every slope, the metal edges, the pipe collars and the attic. Wind-lifted tabs and hail marks get photographed. Then we sit down and show you the pictures, one at a time.

  2. Decide

You get a written quote with materials, quantities and the rate for any rotten wood we uncover. Storm damage? We also put the photos into claim-ready shape and book a spot beside your adjuster for the inspection.

  3. Fix

Repair or full replacement, the crew covers your beds, does the work the maker's way and runs a magnet over the yard. You get the close-out paperwork before we leave.

Four Reasons Lilburn Homeowners Pick Us

No sales routine. Just how we work.

  • Help with the claim, not control of it

We document the damage, stand next to your adjuster on the roof and send in paperwork for anything left off the estimate. The claim stays in your name and your hands. You hear about every conversation.

  • Permits handled where needed

Where your city or county requires a roofing permit, we pull it and keep the paperwork straight. You do not have to figure out the counter at the permit office.

  • A yard that looks like we were never there

Shrubs and beds covered before tear-off. Debris hauled away the same week. A magnetic sweep of the lawn and driveway so nobody finds a nail with a bare foot.

  • Everything in writing

Scope, materials, quantities and close-out documents, all on paper. If it was promised, you can point to it.

Roofing in Lilburn and the Towns Around It

Lilburn sits along Lawrenceville Highway in southwest Gwinnett County, a few minutes from US-78 and the Stone Mountain area. A lot of the homes here are ranches and split-levels from decades back, tucked under tall oaks and pines, with newer subdivisions mixed in toward Killian Hill Road. Big trees mean shade, wet leaves in the gutters and the odd limb on the roof after a summer storm. Open, rolling lots catch wind from the west. We work across Lilburn and in Tucker, Stone Mountain, Snellville, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Duluth, Berkeley Lake, Pine Lake, Clarkston and Doraville.

Older ranches, newer two-stories

A low split-level and a steep new build fail in different places. We check the spots each one tends to give out first.

Shade and leaves

Under heavy tree cover, shingles stay damp and gutters fill up. We look for moss, soft wood and clogged downspouts on every visit.

A Lifted Shingle Today Is a Ceiling Stain Next Season

Wind damage rarely looks dramatic. A few tabs lose their seal, then rain gets pushed underneath with every storm after. Catch it early and it is a small repair. Wait, and it can mean wet decking and drywall.

Lilburn Roof Questions, Answered Plainly

The ones we hear most. Short answers first.

New roof coming. Should the gutters be replaced too?

Often, yes. With the old roof off, the drip edge and roof line are wide open, so new gutters can be set to catch water exactly where it leaves the roof. If your gutters are in good shape and sized right, though, there is no need to replace them, and we will tell you so.

My roof is leaking at this moment. What should I do?

Protect what is inside first. Move furniture and electronics, set a bucket under the drip and lay down towels. Take photos of the leak and any stain for your records. Then phone us for an inspection, and we will trace where the water is really getting in and quote the fix.

Does somebody need to be home while the roof is being replaced?

No. Most homeowners go about their day. We do ask you to be reachable by phone, to park cars clear of the driveway and to let us in the side gate if needed. We walk the finished work with you once you are back.

ACV or RCV: which one is my policy, and why should I care?

ACV, or actual cash value, pays for your roof minus depreciation for its age. RCV, or replacement cost value, pays to replace it new, usually in two checks, with the held-back amount released once the work is done. Your policy's declarations page says which one you have.

How long does a full roof replacement take?

For most houses, a day or two of work. Bigger roofs, steep pitches, several old layers or a lot of rotten decking can stretch that. Weather also plays a part. You get a confirmed start date and a call if anything shifts.
